“A Most Wanted Man”

Rated R

2 hours 15 minutes

Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Willem Dafoe, Robin Wright, Rachel McAdams

Ever since I was a kid, I just loved spy thrillers. And twisty tales of espionage don’t get any better than “A Most Wanted Man”.

The late Phillip Seymour Hoffman gave perhaps his greatest performance as the clever German spy trying to prevent another 9/11
when he sets a trap for a Chechen fugitive who may be planning something big.

You just can’t take your eyes off this cunning cloak and dagger master, spinning his webs of deceit, always staying one step ahead of his jealous competitors in Germany’s secret service network.

They’ve based “A Most Wanted Man” on a John Le Carre thriller which should tell you something about its pedigree.

And they’ve surrounded Hoffman with a perfectly marvelous supporting cast including Willem Dafoe, Rachel McAdams and Robin Wright.

But its Hoffman’s fascinating performance that leaves the most indelible impression.

Unlike so many predictable spy thrillers, “A Most Wanted Man” leaves everything to the imagination.

The only thing that comes as no surprise is a glittering four stars.

“A Most Wanted Man” deserves to be the most sought after movie this weekend. It’s gripping, challenging and the ending will knock you out of your seat. So, what are you waiting for??????
