Arsonist sought after Agawam house fire

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – A fire at a house in Agawam was arson, firefighters say, and they are looking for your help to find out who did it.

According to a news release sent to 22News by the Agawam Fire Department, a reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the conviction of the person or people who set Wednesday’s fire at 41 Spencer Street.

No one was hurt in the fire, and firefighters were able to get everything under control in about half an hour. Chief Alan Sarois told 22News that the house sustained extensive smoke damage, and the residents were not allowed to return in the aftermath.
