Prostitution arrests made by undercover police officer

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two women are facing prostitution charges after allegedly flagging down an undercover police officer and asking him to exchange sex for money in Springfield on Tuesday.

According Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney, the officer arrested Nicole D. Fields, 29, of West Springfield, and Julie Rivera, age 39, of Springfield, after receiving complaints about prostitution near Gardner and Main Street, and School and High Streets from both residents and businesses.

Vice Officers used the undercover police officer to drive through those areas, and according to Springfield’s Police Department, it didn’t take long before the two women approached the car.

Rivera and Fields were both held for arraignment Wednesday.
