Teacher resigns amid accusations of abuse

Reported as leaving for "personal reasons"

MOUNT BLANCHARD, Ohio (WDTN) – The school teacher accused of manhandling a little boy resigned from her job.

Barbara Williams appears to shove the kindergartner and lift him up off the ground in a surveillance video. The incident happened in May.

Williams pleaded not guilty to criminal charges of child endangerment.

Her resignation letter is reported to say she is leaving for “personal reasons”.

She declined further comment and the Riverdale School Board accepted her resignation.

Williams taught in the Riverdale schools for 15 years.
