NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – North Street residents have been complaining about the noises and odors coming from these rail cars parked behind their houses.
The City was told they would only be there for three weeks and would be leaving by Sunday. 22News went back to check on Monday and discovered that they’re still there.
Northampton City Councilor Ryan O’Donnell told 22News he called Pan Am Railways several times. He’s still waiting for a response as to how long the rail cars, and the workers they’re housing, will stay in Northampton.
The crews are working on a high-speed commuter rail line expected to start running between Springfield and Greenfield in December.
