PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A severe thunderstorm moving through western Massachusetts has knocked out power to less than 1,700 customers. At midnight on Sunday, Western Massachusetts Electric Company reports 1,610 customers without power; mostly in Berkshire and Hampden Counties, with the most significant outages in Springfield, Agawam, Longmeadow, Pittsfield, Otis, Dalton, and Lanesborough. At the height of the storm, nearly 6,000 customers had their power knocked out.
As of 9:28 P.M., National Grid is reporting less than 10 customers without power statewide.
