Springfield Police looking for attempted shooting suspect

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield Police were near the right place at the right time on Saturday morning, when officers spotted a gunman shooting at another man on Oak Street in the Indian Orchard section of the city.

Springfield Police Lt. Henry Gagnon told 22News, the officers had gone to a house on Worcester Street where there reportedly had been a home invasion. Then a short distance away the policemen saw a man being shot at near a home at 45 Oak Street.

The 24-year-old would be victim wasn’t wounded and the gunman wearing a dark T-shirt and shorts managed to escape being captured.
