SULPHUR, Louisiana (KPLC) With a swollen Houston River, boats have become a necessity for Tina LeDoux and her neighbors. The water started rising on Friday. She and others off Cypress Lake Road have been paddling back and forth ever since.
One stroke at a time, LeDoux navigates down her road – covered with overflow from the nearby river.
“It just looks hard, but it’s really not,” said LeDoux.
She’s careful to avoid the strong current and stay along the tree line, watching out for obstacles.
