Connecticut man held in slaying of mother

It is not known who is representing the suspect.

ORANGE, Conn. (AP) — Police say a 22-year-old man is being held on a murder charge in the killing of his mother in Orange, Connecticut.

Police Chief Robert Gagne said Timothy Granata was arrested Thursday afternoon after the body of 58-year-old Claudia Granata was found at her home. The chief said police were called to the home on Wild Rose Drive at around 2:15 p.m. and found the young man nearby.

Granata is held on $2 million bond and is expected to appear in court on Friday. It is not known who is representing him.
