CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Severe weather passed through western Massachusetts Wednesday night leaving behind power outages throughout.
Both Western Massachusetts Electric Company and National Grid customers were left in the dark. As of 12:45 a.m. Thursday, 554 WMECo still had no power and power for National Grid customers had been restored. Early Wednesday evening, the most outages were in Lanesborough, 770 and Pittsfield, 402.
The National Weather Service had issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for all of western Mass. during Wednesday’s storm.
