Hartford firefighter charged with trespassing

Lamont Freeman allegedly refused to leave woman's apartment

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — An off-duty Hartford firefighter has been charged with breach of peace and trespassing after a woman told police he walked into her apartment and refused to leave.

Police say 44-year-old Lamont Freeman did not know the woman and was apparently intoxicated when he entered her home on Barbour Street on Tuesday at about 2:30 p.m.

Freeman does not have a listed phone number and could not be reached for comment Wednesday morning.

He is due in court on Thursday.
