BOSTON (WHDH) The crisis in Gaza hit home for many Boston residents as side-by-side rallies, one in support of Palestine, the other in support of Israel, marched from Copley Square to the statehouse Tuesday evening.

The pro-Palestinian group, numbering in the hundreds, gathered at Copley Square to march after the violence that has killed a large number of Palestinian civilians.
A much smaller group of pro-Israel demonstrators marched behind the pro-Palestine group, some say they are angered by what they saw.
“The same kind of ideology that motivated the intifada was the same ideology that motivated the marathon bombing, and I’m just astounded that this would happen in Boston,” Dexter Van Zile said.
