SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Springfield’s South End is getting some more of its “Little Italy” feeling back, with the opening of a new Italian restaurant on Main Street.
Carpaccio, at Main and William Streets, offers a different kind of dining experience. They will soon begin planning events focused on the kitchen by bringing patrons up close and personal with the chefs, similar to dining at a sushi bar.
Owner Lisa Mackenchnie told 22News that she has noticed a high demand for more restaurants in Springfield.
“There’s a lot happening in Springfield in general. We have the Basketball Hall of Fame, we already have a lot of traffic coming to Springfield. Whenever there is an event at let’s say the MassMutual Center, you cannot get a seat in a restaurant now as it is,” Mackenchnie said.
In addition to indoor seating, the restaurant also features a patio.
