New law requires pharmaceutical companies to publicly report what they pay.


CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s no secret that pharmaceutical companies pay doctors for speaking services or research. But as part of the Physician Payments Sunshine Act, those companies are now required to report money they pay to doctors for teaching hospitals and make it public information.

The 22News I-Team takes a look at the list and finds out which local doctors are accepting money from big pharmacies. Is it an ethical dilemma or just the business of medicine in America? You decide.
