CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – This spring and summer we’ve seen quite a bit of rain. So far this month many areas have picked up over 4 and a half inches of rain.
Heavy downpours over the last couple of weeks led to flash flooding across parts of western Massachusetts.
Even though the rain made getting around difficult at times there are some benefits to all the wet weather.
“It’s been beneficial in some ways, my grass grew nicer but I had to cut it more often but it was all right I didn’t mind it,” said Lawrence Pouliot of Chicopee.
The rain has made for some very green lawns and while parts of the country are experiencing drought conditions, that’s something we don’t have to worry about here in western Massachusetts.
