Doctors wait tables to raise money in Springfield

The restaurant is donating 10 percent of all sales to Baystate Children's Hospital.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Doctors at Baystate Children’s Hospital traded in their scrubs for a different uniform on Monday night, all to help raise money for the hospital.

The Texas Roadhouse on Mall Street in Springfield was packed Monday night as they celebrated their 10 years in business with the special fundraiser. Baystate Children’s Hospital provides kids in the region with advanced medical treatments, and the funds will help them continue to provide services.

A Springfield resident, whose daughter gets treatment for a leg condition, says the hospital does amazing things.

“Everybody makes her feel special and taken care of. I know people that have to come far to this hospital because they don’t have anything like that around them. We’re lucky to have it around,” said Michelle LeClair.

If you want to get involved, the fundraiser will run until Monday, July 21st at Texas Roadhouse. The restaurant is donating 10 percent of all sales to Baystate Children’s Hospital.

The goal is to raise 10-thousand dollars.
