One person dead after stabbing on Elm St. in Holyoke

Suspect sought in connection with deadly stabbing

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke police are searching for a suspect in connection with a deadly stabbing in the downtown area late Sunday morning.

Sgt. Brian Chirwin told 22News that officers were called to the area of Elm and Appleton Streets around arrived 11:30 a.m.


Holyoke Police Chief Jim Neiswanger told 22News the person who was stabbed died at Baystate Medical Center. The victim’s identity is not being revealed at this time.

Police are looking for a man with blue jean shorts, a black shirt, and sunglasses with a medium build.
