Last day of the Hispanic Family Festival

HOLYOKE HISPANIC FESTIVAL

HOLYOKE, Mass (WWLP) – Sunday is the last day of the 28th annual Hispanic Family Festival at Holyoke’s Springdale Park. The festival celebrates the pride of the Hispanic culture and the closeness of families.

There will be a parade marking the final day of the festival that will go from Holyoke High School all the way to city hall.

The Western Mass Puerto Rican Parade will go from Pine Street to Resnic Boulevardd. Chicopee police told 22News that Sargeant Street, Pine Street, and High Street will all be closed because of this parade, so be sure the factor that into your daily commute.

The parade is scheduled for Sunday at noon, and the rest of the festivities will begin at 1:30 and go until 8:00. Those festivities will be at Springdale Park here in Holyoke. There will be music, activities for children, lots of food, arts, and crafts to enjoy.

This family festival continues to grow more popular with the Western Massachusetts Latino community.

The parade has been a big part of the festival for almost 30 years.
