Counterfeit bills used at Hadley Best Buy

Hadley police will be notifying federal authorities

HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – Police in Hadley are searching for two suspects after a woman allegedly passed some counterfeit money.

It happened at the Best Buy in Hadley at around 7:30 Saturday night. Officer Douglas Costa told 22News they’re working to get a better surveillance photo.

The photo shows the woman, described as black, wearing all black, and with a tattoo on her right arm.

After allegedly passing three $100 bills to buy headphones, she left the store and was last seen getting into the passenger seat of a white sedan with an out of state license plate. Officer Costa said a man was driving the car.

Hadley Police told 22News they’ll be notifying federal authorities.
