BOSTON (AP) — Police in Boston say a 32-year-old woman is dead after succumbing to injuries she suffered when a car hit her in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.
The crash occurred early Saturday at the corner of River and Washington streets.
Police say officers responding to a call for a car accident saw the pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle. The woman was taken to Carney Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Physicians pronounced her dead at the hospital.
Authorities did not immediately release the name of the victim.
Investigators are looking into facts and circumstances surrounding the crash. Police urge anyone with information to contact the homicide unit.
