HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – It’s the third day into the 28th annual Hispanic family festival at Holyoke’s Springdale Park.
Pride in one’s culture and closeness to the family are the over-riding themes of “La Familia Hispania.” Organizers told 22News, the family festival continues to grow more popular with the western Massachusetts Latino community.
Adalan Santana successfully tested her skill with wall climbing. She’s been attending the family festival for years, “I enjoy my heritage, coming down annually with the family, It’s always nice and fun.”
She looks forward to the family festival highlight on Sunday, the big parade from McKenzie field to downtown Holyoke. The parade has been a big part of the festival for almost 30 years.
