Shootings shock cancer center

(KHQ) A Spokane, Washington woman is dead after police say her husband walked into her work, shot her and then shot himself.

Spokane Police say just after 9:30 am they responded to a shooting call at the Rockwood Cancer Treatment Center inside Deaconess Hospital. Officers arrived and immediately moved patients and staff to a safe area.

The woman was found dead on the 7th floor, and the man, despite a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, the man was alive. He was taken to to the emergency room in the hospital, and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Friends and family told KHQ the victim was Sheena Henderson, and she was an employee of Rockwood. Friends and family also confirmed that the shooter was Sheena’s husband, Christopher.
