2014 Big E and Six Flags Super Blood Drive

CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – By donating 1 pint of blood you can help save a life and get a free ticket to Six Flags! Jeff Meyer, Chief Executive Officer, American Red Cross Massachusetts Blood Services Region and Red Cross Spokesperson Jecoliah Ellis, shared more about their drive.

Each presenting blood donor will receive a free Six Flags ticket.

Tips for a Successful Donation
Maintain a healthy iron level in your diet by eating iron rich foods.
Drink an extra 16 oz. of water before the donation.
Eat a healthy meal before your donation.
Remember to bring your donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of ID.

Tips for After Your Donation
Drink an extra four (8 ounce) glasses of liquids.
Do not do any heavy lifting or vigorous exercise for the rest of the day.
