BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) — A former Truro police chief who resigned in 2011 after crashing a brand new police cruiser while drunk is facing new charges for allegedly driving drunk with his 3-year-old son in his vehicle.
John Lundborn pleaded not guilty Monday to charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, subsequent offense; child endangerment while operating under the influence; and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
Police say the 46-year-old Lundborn was spotted in the parking lot of a Hyannis McDonald’s last Thursday apparently drunk. He refused field sobriety tests and a breath test.
The Cape Cod Times reports that Lundborn was ordered Monday to stay drug and alcohol free and submit to random drug and alcohol screenings. He was also prohibited from driving.
