VIDEO: Storm Damage in Franklin County

Franklin County was under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning

SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – All of western Massachusetts dealt with severe weather Monday night with multiple storms passing through and leaving behind storm damage.

In Franklin County, 22News cameras captured numerous, dramatic cloud-to-ground lightning strikes in Sunderland. Throughout the day Franklin County had been under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

Watch the video above to see flashes of lightning flying out of what can only be described as dark threatening clouds. Fortunately, we received no reports of any property damage from the lightning strikes.

Just across the river, heavy rain pounded Route 116 in South Deerfield. Wind caused damage: Large tree limbs were reported down on West Pelham road in Shutesbury.
