One homeless following Pleasant Street fire

EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – An Easthampton resident is without a place to stay on Sunday after his home caught fire.

Easthampton Fire Captain Kevin Benson told 22News fire crews arrived at the home around 5:30 Sunday night.

They were able to extinguish the fire quickly, but there was heavy smoke damage.

The American Red Cross is helping the homeowner find a temporary living situation.
