SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – The “Norman Rockwell’s World” exhibit at the Lyman & Merrie Wood Museum of Springfield History, offers you a look into the iconic life of this historic artist. The exhibition reflects Rockwell’s style that had just the right combination of family values, small-town scenes, celebrations of idyllic childhoods and recognition of American traditions. This was important especially when he developed his style during a period that involved two world wars, the Great Depression, the Civil Rights Movement and the Vietnam War.
We caught up with Guy McLain, Director of the Wood Museum, to learn more.
