(WWLP) - Summertime means that shark sightings will be increasing along the coast of the Northeast. Two sharks have already been spotted off Cape Cod so far this season.
Great White Sharks can migrate long distances, and sharks that have been seen off the coast of Massachusetts have often turned up far away. You may remember “Betsy,” a great white shark that 22News tracked with the group Ocearch last year. That shark has most recently been tracked thousands of miles away from the Cape, on Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Shark sightings have also generated a lot of excitement on social media. Here are the latest tweets about sharks off the Cape and Islands.
