Southampton residents vote down proposed funding plan

1,194 said No and 677 said Yes

SOUTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Southampton voters went to the polls Tuesday to vote on how to spend their money.

The question on the ballot was if the Town should be allowed to access a million dollars in real estate and personal property taxes for the purpose of funding the operating budgets of the town and public schools for the new fiscal year.

It was voted down; 1,194 said No and 677 said Yes. The town had a 44% voter turnout for this question.
