Police search in downtown Holyoke, after reports of shots fired

No victim or evidence of shooting found

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Holyoke police received several calls about shots fired downtown Tuesday morning, but no evidence of a shooting was found.

Sgt. Stephen Loftus told 22News that after 10:00 A.M., police began receiving calls about gunfire near the corner of Appleton and Elm Streets.

Several police cars were called to the area, and officers searched the area and interviewed potential witnesses, but Loftus says no one had seen a shooting take place, no victim was found, and police did not locate any gun or shell casings.
