South End Bridge crash cleared

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – A multi-car accident on the eastbound side of the South End Bridge slowed commuter traffic on the bridge and on surrounding highways Tuesday morning.

Trooper John Zielinski of the Springfield barracks told 22News that the crash was cleared before 8:30 A.M. and that there were no injuries.

Eastbound traffic on Rt. 57 was delayed as far back as Main Street (Rt. 159), while traffic on Route 5 southbound was backed up to Bondi’s Island.

Westbound traffic on the bridge was also slowed coming off I-91 southbound.
