Police: Son arrested after stabbing parents

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WPRI) – Police are investigating after a woman, who had been stabbed in the neck, entered the Fairhaven School Administration Building on Monday morning.

According to Fairhaven police, the woman walked to the nearby administration building after she and her husband were stabbed inside the home next door. Police entered the Washington Street home and arrested the suspect, who is believed to be the couple’s 27-year-old son.

Both victims and the suspect were conscious and alert after the incident and transported to St. Luke’s Hospital. The suspect was suffering from minor injuries sustained during the assault, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate. The suspect is facing four charges, police said.

The victims have not yet been identified.
