WEBSTER, Mass. (AP) — Authorities say a 61-year-old woman from the eastern Hampden County town of Holland has died after the motorcycle operated by her husband was involved in an accident with an SUV in Webster.

The Worcester district attorney’s office says Patricia Riendeau was brought to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester after the accident at about 2 p.m. Sunday. She died at the hospital.

Her husband, 57-year-old Robert Riendeau, who was operating the motorcycle, suffered serious injuries, but is expected to survive. He was also taken to UMass Memorial.

Authorities say the driver of the SUV, a 72-year-old man from East Bridgewater, slowed down when the motorcycle ahead of him began to slow down.

He was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester for observation.

No charges have been filed, and police are still looking into the cause of the crash.
