Former Police Chief killed in motorcycle accident

Joseph Rebello was one of two motorcyclist struck

MONSON, Mass. (WWLP) – Former Monson Police Chief Joseph Rebello was killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday morning in Vermont.

According to Vermont State Police, Rebello, traveling south on Route 14 in Woodbury, at about 9:15 a.m., was one of two motorcyclist struck when a driver crossed the center line.

The 55-year-old Rebello served as Monson’s Police Chief from 1992-2001.

The other motorcyclist hit was 57-year-old Richard Braga, former Chief of the Hudson Police Department. According to Police, Braga was severely injured.
