Conn. man allegedly tried to kill himself in police cruiser

SHELBURNE, Mass. (WWLP) – Thirty-eight-year-old Vincent Paris of Hamden, Connecticut allegedly tried to kill himself in the back seat of a state police cruiser in Franklin County the other day.

22News has learned that Paris tried to strangle himself on the way to the Shelburne state police barracks.

He had been arrested on Interstate 91 for allegedly driving with a cracked windshield.

More charges were added including trafficking in heroin and child endangerment. He reportedly had a baby in the back seat.

Paris will stay in a Franklin County lock up until he can raise $20,000 bail.
