Holyoke stabbing prompts hospital E.R. lockdown

The victim is in serious condition

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A stabbing in Holyoke puts a hospital E.R. on lockdown.

It happened just after 9 o’clock Saturday night. A man walked into the Holyoke Hospital Emergency Room with multiple stab wounds in the chest.

When that happens, it’s standard procedure to secure the emergency room.

Police went to the hospital. The victim told them he was stabbed outside of a barber shop on Maple Street by a man carrying a chrome knife.

There’s no other description of the suspects. The victim is in serious condition.

Holyoke Police Lt. Manuel Reyes told 22News right now, they’re interviewing possible witnesses, but don’t have any leads on suspects.
