Infocus Casino gambling ballot question

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP)-The Supreme Judicial Court‘s recent ruling to allow the casino question on November’s ballot will give voters the final say on casino gambling in Massachusetts.

It sets us up for what could be an intense campaign leading up to the November elections. It also raises a lot of questions like what will happen to proposals already in place if it’s voted down.

That’s where 22News inFocus comes in this week.

We’ll find out what this means for our community and state. We’ll talk to a political consultant about the legal and political ramifications if the law is overturned. We’ll hear from both opponents and advocates of casino gambling. And we’ll talk with MGM Springfield’s President about their plans to convince Massachusetts voters to approve casino gambling.

Join us for the discussion on the casino ballot question Sunday, June 29, at noon on 22News InFocus. And if you miss it you can find the program in its entirety on our web site at WWLP.COM.
