Victim of deadly Chester crash identified by police

The 49-year-old man’s car hit a utility pole

CHESTER, Mass. (WWLP) – A 49-year-old town resident has been identified by police as the victim of a deadly rollover crash in Chester Wednesday night.

According to Massachusetts State Police Media Relations, Joseph T. Regan died from his injuries in the crash near 250 Middlefield Street.

According to State Police, an initial investigation indicates that the vehicle went off the road, struck a utility pole and then rolled over; pinning Regan underneath.

State Police from the Russell Barracks are handling the investigation with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section.
