VIDEO: Coakley on casino referendum decision

BOSTON (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled Tuesday that a ballot question that would repeal the state’s casino gaming law may appear on the November ballot.

The case reached the high court after Attorney General Martha Coakley decided not to certify the question. She said that if the referendum passed, it would bring about an unconstitutional taking of property.

22News State House Reporter Tiffany Chan spoke with the Attorney General Tuesday to get her reaction to the ruling. Play the video to hear what she had to say.
