Car show held to benefit Holyoke Soldier’s Home

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A cruise night car show was held to benefit the Holyoke Soldier’s Home.  The parking was filled with cars, about 50 of them.

The Stars & Stripes Car Club holds these cruise nights through the summer months to help raise money for the activities club at the Holyoke Soldier’s Home.

The organizers told 22News they do it because they want to give back to those who served our country.

Its not just cars they also had live music, food and a raffle.

People told 22News it’s a good time for everyone.

“It makes us all feel good because they get to see the cars and we get to show all our cars and how much we enjoy showing our cars,” Verna Lannon of Westfield said.

“It feels pretty good to come out here and enjoy it and do something for a good place and good people and just have a wonderful time,” Kelvin Colon of Holyoke said.

This is the 4th year that the Stars & Stripes Car Club has been holding cruise nights.

The next one is on July 19th.
