BOZRAH, Conn. (AP) — State police have identified three young men killed in an early morning crash in southeastern Connecticut.
Troopers say 23-year-old Kenneth Barki of Norwich, 22-year-old Jesse Robinson of Uncasville, and 19-year-old Terence Garland of Norwich died when their car struck a tree off Route 82 in Bozrah at about 1 a.m. Thursday. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
It wasn’t clear who was driving. Police say the car is owned by Ellen Robinson of Uncasville.
Witnesses say the front part of the car including the front seats was completely torn from the back of the car. Jesse Robinson and Garland were found outside the car, while Barki was still in the rear seat with his seat belt on.
The cause remains under investigation.
