CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) Are you ready to hit the beach in your bathing suit? What about your short summer shorts and dresses? Katie Lipsmeyer from Energia Studios in Hadley got us ready for beach season.
Tips for a rock hard beach body:
Smart and effective- meaning targeting many different muscle groups in one exercise. Talk about busy schedules and being short on time. Cardio and strength training both important. Myth of bulking up when strength training.
Getting your body beach ready usually means that people want to target their core muscles, their arms, and their butts.
Exercises to Demonstrate
(All of these exercises can be done with no equipment, just your own body weight.)
- Squat Jumps
- Plank Jacks with push-up
- Mountain Climbers
- Inchworm with push-up
- Remember Moderation!
- Many people set themselves up for failure by changing their diets too much too soon.
- Start small. If you have two sodas per day, cut it down to one. Eat slower so that you are able to let your body tell you when it’s full. Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go. Hydration will not only help you shed pounds and curb your food cravings, but will clear up your skin and give you more energy to enjoy those summer activities!
