SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Father Gary Dailey, the Director of Vocations at the Springfield Catholic Diocese spoke with 22News about the newly appointed Bishop.

Bishop Mitchell Rozanski is the 1st Polish Bishop of the Springfield Diocese. He is originally from Baltimore and will be officially installed on August 12th to become the Diocese 9th Bishop.

During the interview with Father Dailey, 22News asked the following questions:

  • It took 18 months to choose a new bishop after Bishop Timothy McDonnell sent his letter of intent to resign on his 75th birthday. Is 18 months a long time?
