HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – The Massachusetts Latino Chamber of Commerce is running another seminar on “How to Start and Manage Your Own Business.”
The Chamber held their first of six classes Tuesday night at their Holyoke Training Center. The focus of Tuesday’s class was on the basics of finance and credit literacy; making sure you have good credit and can qualify for a loan.
Jose Rubero, the Holyoke Latino Chamber Coordinator, told 22News, “You need to know where your credit stands. You need to know financial literacy so basically they can know where they’re going. They know when to ask for a loan, and when to increase and grow their business.”
Some of the other seminars provide instruction on marketing, insurance, accounting and minority certifications.
The other seminars will be held on June 17th, June 19th, June 24th, June 26th, July 2nd and July 3rd. All seminars are from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
To get involved, you can contact the Latino Chamber at 413-746-1989 (Holyoke) or 413-246-6126 (Springfield).
