HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – A local doctor was honored Saturday night for his contributions to the medical profession.
Dr. Victor Panitch is an Orthopedic Surgeon at Holyoke Medical Center.
He was honored with Holyoke Medical Center’s Distinguished Service award at the Starlight Gala, a celebration held at the Heritage State Park Visitor’s Center before moving for dinner to the Holyoke City Hall Ballroom.
Dr. Panitch told 22News he’s honored to have received the award and talked about the progression of medical technology.
“I’ve been in medicine for a long time. Almost 40 years. I look back on the way things were when I started and it was absolutely medieval compared to what we have now. Knowledge increases exponentially. What it’s going to be like in 10 years it not predictable,” said Dr. Panitch.
