“Touch-a-Truck” event held in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – There’s something that attracts little children to big trucks. The Springfield Jewish Community center turned it into a family event called “Touch-a-Truck”.

The children had plenty of trucks to touch during Sunday’s fourth annual “Touch-a-Truck” family event. The driver’s seat was the place to be for hundreds of children.

Parents told 22News, they’re not sure just what the attraction, but their kids seem to have a great time touching trucks.

“I know my boys just love big trucks, they’re always watching shows about them. I thought it would be nice to come down and get a first hand look at what they’re like behind the wheel,” said Bob Moriarty of Westfield.

“Seeing everything that it does honking the horn what else do you love about touch a truck,” said Nicole Galcenski of Hampden.

The children might reply, what’s not to love? The money raised by the touch a truck event helps further children’s programs at the Jewish Community Center.
