CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Now most futuristic thrillers about alien invasion threatening our very existence aren’t usually as clever or imaginative as “Edge of Tomorrow”.
Tom Cruise keeps re-living his surreal adventures until he’s unsure what’s happening, as it keeps repeating Itself again and again.
Cruise can’t explain his chronic case of déjà vu. Now can he explain how Emily Blunt steals the picture right out from under the veteran superstar.
Blunt wasn’t about to be just another pretty face in support of a macho hero whose beginning to show his age.
The stars experience enough conflict to keep “Edge of Tomorrow” on the radar for the summertime action crowd.
But you don’t mind the slam bang, let’s kill the aliens mentality, when It’s accompanied by sharp writing along with a dash of complexity.
And to be Blunt, she kind of turns him on. I want you to know just how much I enjoyed “Edge of Tomorrow” But I’d like to see Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt get back to the real world soon.
But until that happens, let’s give “Edge of Tomorrow” the boost it deserves with three stars.
Unlike the Tom Cruise character, you only have to experience this movie once….
