CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A glitch on the Registry of Motor Vehicles website showed that all branches were closed Friday. The online problem was fixed in about an hour.
22News went to the Chicopee RMV where we saw long lines, but that glitch may have kept some people away. When we were there around 11:00 Friday morning, most of the customers were satisfied with their wait times.
Daniel Fernandes of Chicopee said, “I’d say you build a little extra time in because you know the lines are a little bit longer, but they moved real quickly and they accommodated me.”
“Today it was a good 15 minutes but I finished everything online first so I get in quickly and got out quickly,” said Brittany Noguerra of Ludlow.
A MassDOT spokesperson told 22News the wait time and office hour information was updating incorrectly on their website, but the problem is fixed.
