JONESBORO, Ark. (KARK) Strong storms in northeast Arkansas left a pathway of debris through neighborhoods in Jonesboro on Thursday.
Crews immediately got involved to help homeowners fix roof tops and cut downed trees. Two had fallen onto Donna Farabi’s home.
Farabi was sleeping when the storm hit Thursday.
“I saw them falling and then I just, it made me cry because I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t know where to go,” she says.
Farabi is thankful to make it out safe, but just down the road, others were not so lucky. 74-year-old Tommy Sanford was killed after a tree fell on his home.
When Felix Cruz heard screams coming from Sanford’s home he called 911.
“Everybody was crying and everything. I wanted to cry too so I left,” he says.
