Woman fears engagement ring stolen during charity softball game

WARE, Mass. (WWLP) – A young woman from Ware fears her engagement ring may have been stolen during a charity softball game.

Holly Kusek’s took off her engagement ring during a softball cancer benefit at Palmer High School on Saturday. The ring was a combination of her mother’s engagement ring, who passed away in 2011 and her fiance’s mother’s engagement ring, who passed away in 2012.

“I’ve been wearing something that’s irreplaceable on my hand and just now it’s really hard to think that someone could have possibly taken it,” said Kusek.

Kusek told 22News they’ve already spent close to ten hours searching the field and will lead a search party on Sunday at 11 A.M. There’s a $1000 reward for returning the ring.

The softball game was being played Saturday May 31st around 11:30 A.M.  Kusek had put her ring in her purse which was next to the softball bench alongside the woods at Palmer High School.  If you have information on this ring you can contact 22News and we will get in touch with the owners.
